AI suggestions. If an organization turns on AI suggestions, LandlordOS uses Anthropic, PBC as a service provider to read records and suggest details: a bill’s text, a document or lease, a maintenance request’s description and photos, inspection photos, a question asked in the tenant or owner portal, or the records needed to answer a question about the organization’s portfolio. Only the part of a record a feature needs is sent, and only for an organization that has accepted the AI terms. Anthropic processes it on our behalf to return the suggestion, does not use it to train its models, and keeps it only for a limited period for safety and legal purposes. Suggestions are shown to the organization’s team, who confirm or change them; they are not used to make decisions about anyone on their own, and balances, fees and other amounts always come from the organization’s records, not from the AI. We keep a record of each suggestion and what was kept, so the organization can see how a value was entered. Tenants and owners who use the portals are covered by the choice their property manager or landlord makes; ask them if you’d prefer that your messages not be read this way.
